I wouldn't have been able to endure too much more of the heaviness Nesbitt kept doling out. To be honest, the levity of his character provided a much needed balance and was what kept me coming back for more. Luckily, the brilliant Tchéky Karyo played the detective in the series and he helped make up for the series faults. It is understandable the anger, frustration and sadness parents would have when their boy first goes missing and as they get closer to finding out the truth, but along the way things felt forced, particularly by Nesbitt, an actor I respect.
